ContinuitySA launches new contact centre facility, Globility
19th January 2009
ContinuitySA has launched Globility, a new business providing
contact centre and business process outsourcing (BPO) managed infrastructure.
The
7 500 square-meter facility in Midrand has the capacity to host up to 850
contact centre and BPO seats.
Anthony Askew, MD of Globility, says ContinuitySA
decided to enter the managed infrastructure provisioning market over
two years ago to take advantage
of the growing number of local and international companies launching
contact centres and looking for hosted facilities in the country.
"Our first 350-seat facility was sold out in 18 months to only three
customers," says Askew, "and the demand for facilities remains
high. We therefore looked hard for another building and are about to make
an additional 850 seats available to the market, as well as a potential
1 000 square metres of data centre capacity."
Globility does not
manage the operations of or outsource contact centre services, but
provides the infrastructure as well as the facility management
services customers require, including telecommunications services. Depending
on the requirements of the client, Globility will have the entire infrastructure
they require, including furniture, connectivity and computer equipment
available for operators as soon as they move in. All the customer needs
to provide is the operators, management and the associated soft skills.
The
new building, called Continuity Junction, is situated on Old Pretoria
Road, in Midrand. It was chosen as it is close to all transport routes
to ensure operators will have easy access to the facility. There are
also shopping centres nearby with medical and dental practitioners to further
ease the practical day-to-day burdens of the operators.
“Globility has also ensured that clients automatically have access
to backup power, redundant WAN access and technical services to keep them
running during all-too-common electrical and telecommunications outages," adds
Askew. “Should clients require business continuity support, ContinuitySA
is able to provide all they need, including a failover disaster recovery
site in either Randburg or Midrand in case of a worst-case scenario."
The
new facility is aimed at companies of any size needing to expand or
set up new contact centre, data centre or office facilities. Globility
can set up a custom-designed facility in short order for permanent, expansion
or project use, depending on the client's requirements, all on flexible
terms. |
